The smart materials made by Jovana Milić, at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), work wonders from the lab to electronic devices. In this 3D animation, we show the structure changes of smart materials over 24 hours – interestingly, these modifications make the device easy to “recharge” thanks to almost magical molecular switches.
